As I gaze back into societies eyes, I know it does not see me. Rather, it sees a number, or a color. Or perhaps it sees a business opportunity prime for exploitation. It could be a bunch of various things but I know it is not my true self.
What could I do? First change myself, love others, and learn to remove any lens that limits my perspective of another person. Learn to appreciate the various things people have to offer. I would see materialism diminish and community become the focus. For what is it that truly lasts? That is the question I ask as I stare into societies clear emotionless eyes.
