I live on the street and ask for help

by Rev. Beverlee Bell, Iowa AC 2006

I live on the street and ask for help
I know I bother people
I can see it in their eyes, if they look at me.
I can't stand having change in my pocket
I don't know why. It's a thing of mine.
I ask for dollar bills for my change
I just don't like coins and that is what most people give me.
They say I have O.C.D.,
That I'm obsessive, but I can't help it.
I live on the street and I don't like change in my pocket.
