I am someone that was recently deported from NJ back to the Philippines. I don't think we've met, but your dad has mentioned you many times since we are the same age.
I've always thought in my head our differences and similarities. The way I see you is someone truly Americanized at the cost of your Filipino identity. Are you ashamed? Do you know how truly lucky you are being Filipino now that your life has come about?
I urge you to think about your people and their struggle. You may find more similarities and a place in your identity more than friend, sister, daughter, student, and American.
